Yoga Styles and Classes at the Festival

Vinyasa Flow

This style is about flowing movement between the postures. Usually quite a dynamic style, Vinyasa Flow will get you moving and sweating and get all your juices circulating!

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a gentle, soft style that is non-stressful on the body. It involves long holds in supported postures that are usually done from seated or laying down. If you want to chill out, this is a great style for you.

Iyengar Yoga

A classical yoga style that focuses on healthy alignment of the poses. The poses are taught in detail so you can improve you postures and progress safely.

Yoga Nidra

Nidra is a type of meditation that is done from Savasana, the Corpse Pose. The meditation is guided by the teacher and often involves body scanning and visualizations. Very nurturing!

Celtic Wheel of Yoga

This Irish-based style of yoga focuses on the blend of Irish traditions and classical yoga.

Reggae Yoga

Reggae Yoga is a fun class, full of laughs and good music. The postures flow along to the smooth grooves of reggae music and good vibes are the main focus.

Power Yoga

This style is usually challenging and hot. Students are asked to explore their limits and work hard to build strength and flexibility.

Slow Flow Vinyasa

This flowing class is generally more gentle and often breath-based. Movement is slower so that students can stay in a state of connection and awaerness.

Ashtanga Yoga

Another classical yoga style, Ashtanga is a set series of postures that are carefully choreographed  throughout. It’s a rigorous and challenging style.

Kundalini Yoga

The yoga of Yogi Bhajan, which focuses on breath, movement and purification.
